Argo watch a movie: The Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment will host a screening of the Academy Award winning movie "Argo" on Tuesday at 1 p.m. The screening is free and everyone is invited. The movie tells the story of a group of Americans trying to escape Iran in the weeks following the 1979 revolution.
Watch Out for Roadwork: Work continues all over Chestnut Hill. Northwestern Avenue has limited access as workers from Aqua replace a water main between Thomas Road and Stenton Avenue. There is also ongoing work on Chestnut Hill Avenue as Philadelphia Gas Works replaces a gas main.
This day in history: On July 23, 1903, the Ford Motor Company sold its very first car. Also, the typographer, a precursor to the typewriter, is invented by American William Austin Burt in 1829.
