Springside Chestnut Hill Renovations Headed to Zoning Board

The Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustment will hear three applications for zoning issues related to SCHA's athletic field improvements.

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy will go in front of the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustments Wednesday, July 25, to discuss the renovations of its atheltic fields.

The board will review three requests for variances:

  • The first request is seeking a permit to construct a tennis pavilion and replace a shed on the field. The tennis pavilion will replace the current four courts with seven courts and eight-foot-high bleachers.
  • The second is for a storage structure and chain-link fence.
  • The third is to demolish the existing beachers and replace them with a new structure, with bleachers, a press box, announcer stand, locker rooms and food service area.

These renovations have gone through the Chestnut Hill Community Association and come through with approval. Attached is the agenda for the zoning board meeting.
