Chestnut Hill Resident Named to Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board

Debra Malinics is one of 10 new members.

Among the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board's 10 new members is Chestnut Hill resident Debra Malinics, president and owner of DMA Advertising.

The new members were appointed to the 32-member board between September and December by Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter, according to a press release. The volunteer board is responsible for governing the public workforce system in Philadelphia.

“It is an ongoing goal and priority of our Administration to improve opportunities for Philadelphia’s workers,” Mayor Nutter said in the release. “A growing, educated workforce is the engine of our city; the more we invest in our talent pool, the more likely it is that businesses will grow, thrive and expand in the city. I would like to thank the new board members for accepting this call to public service.”
