Chestnut Hill Parking Foundation Considers Charging

The currently free lots may begin charging $1 an hour.

Free parking may be a thing of the past along the Chestnut Hill Business District. According to an article on Newsworks, the lots owned by the Chestnut Hill Parking Foundation may need to install pay machines, like others in the city.

According to the article, the Philadelphia Parking Authority, which already monitors the metered parking along Germantown Avenue, would be in charge of enforcing the paid parking in the lots.

Chestnut Hill Parking Foundation President John Ingersoll did not return calls for more information on the potential new plan. Stay tuned to Patch for more as information becomes available.
