Police Blotter: Break-In at the Convent

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Assault … A woman reported March 25, 6:30 p.m., that after a dispute with another woman, the woman dragged her across the parking lot of , 8835 Germantown Avenue, and she sustained minor injuries, police said.

Burglary … A member of the Sisters of St. Joseph reported March 25, 12:10 a.m., that an unauthorized person was observed inside the convent at 8900 Norwood Avenue, and fled when he was confronted, police said.

Theft from auto … A woman reported March 24, 10 a.m., that while her car was parked on the unit block of West Bells Mill Road, someone broke the rear passenger-side window and a GPS unit was missing, police said.

Theft from auto … A woman reported March 24, 10:30 a.m., that while her car was parked on the unit block of West Bells Mill Road, someone broke the front, driver-side window and a bag with her drivers license and personal information was missing, police said.

Theft … A resident of the unit block of East Chestnut Hill Avenue reported March 19, 6:30 p.m., that $2,550 in men’s jewelry was missing from his dresser, police said.
