Police Blotter: $20K in Silverware Stolen

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Auto theft … A woman reported Feb. 11, 10: 30 a.m., that she parked her car 2006 tan Chrysler Sebring, valued at $9,000, on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street while she had been out of town since Dec. 23, 2011, and when she returned on Feb. 11, it was gone, police said.

Burglary … A resident of the 8800 block of Seminole Street reported Feb 10, 8:30 p.m., that someone had entered her home, possibly through an unlocked rear door, and $600 worth of coins and jewelry were missing, police said.

Theft from auto … A woman reported Feb. 4, 2:15 p.m., that while she was parked on the unit block of West Bells Mill Road, someone removed two credit cards from her car, and used them at various stores for a total of $2,539.30, police said.

Theft … An employee of a building on the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue reported Feb. 10, 10 a.m., that her jacket with car keys in the pocket, had been taken from her workplace, police said.

Theft … A resident of the 200 block of West Evergreen Avenue reported Feb. 10, 3 p.m., that $20,000 in silverware had been removed from her home, police said.
