News Next Door: Manayunk Man Charged with Wife's Murder

The shooting took place Monday on the 100 block of Markle Street.

LAte Monday afternoon, gunshots were heard on the 100 block of Markle Street in Manayunk. Police arrived at the scene,and took a man into custody. Tuesday, less than 24 hours later, they charged a resident of that block, Gregory Mitros, 52, with the murder of his 64-year-old wife.

The couple had an adult son.
