Winston Block Party Today
Neighbors are invited to the 6th annual Winston block party, which starts at noon.
Chestnut Hill-er and Patch reader Rob Remus sent in the following information about the Winston Block Party, which begins at noon June 4:
"Come out and meet your neighbors - look forward to seeing you. As usual, we'll have a moon bounce, basketball net and mini baseball diamond for the kids. We'll also have some refreshments, cooking grills, hamburgers and hot dogs and some tables and chairs but please bring whatever you'd like to grill as well. Or bring a dish or desert. I'll have a few coolers and ice so bring some refreshments too.
"This year we've had a couple very generous sponsors and because of this, many items like the moon bounce, hamburgers and hot dogs, ice are covered. Please tell your neighbors as we're looking to connect as many neighbors as we can in this area. No agendas at all but if we're better connected we stand a better chance against traffic concerns, crime and safety."
