Frozen Yogurt Still Coming, Now in Fall

Chill is slated for a mid-September opening.

Opening a new business isn’t always easy, especially when taking the place of a business that has to delay its move.

, a new frozen yogurt shop for Chestnut Hill, had to delay construction on its location at 5 E. Highland Ave. when Balance was ironing out its move to West Willow Grove Avenue.

“It was a trickle down situation and we didn’t get started when we wanted,” said Leslie Newbold, co-owner of Chill. “I wish I could say tomorrow but I can’t. We’re going to work as fast and furious as possible to get it open.”

Because of the delay, the opening is now planned for mid-September, Newbold said. And although this means the prime frozen treat months of summer, she is confident that Chill will still thrive in its early months.

“It’s year-round, not just when it’s warm,” Newbold said. “It’s something to do with the family, getting out, that type of thing, as well as a warm weather treat. We’re hoping that’s the case.”
