Man Hit with Stick After Robbery, Police Said

A man is robbed and then hit with a stick on Greene Street.

A man was hit with a stick across the face after a robber removed $425 from his pocket in the 6400 block of Greene Street on Sept. 6.

According to police, a man was walking in the area at around 8:55 p.m. headed for his father’s house when a tan Ford pickup truck drove by and then circled around.

A man jumped out of the pickup truck and shouted, “What’s up now?” to the man walking on the street.

The man from the pickup truck then reached into the victim’s pocket and removed $425 in cash, police said.

The man from the pickup truck then struck the victim across the face with a stick, police said.

The victim refused medical attention and was transported back to the police district office.
