Ha. I did not take Kevin Grauke. As a double major, I got shut out of the fun English classes I wanted to take. Grauke was one of those names I always heard and wish I got to experience myself.
I believe Nate Adams, of the soon-to-launch Plymouth-Whitemarsh Patch, took him.

Catherine, I read your article on your anguishing debate over philly v. suburbs. I am in a very similar situation. I love that you had the initiative to start a group - that says a lot about you. My kids are at Cook-Wiss and instead of moving to the suburbs, (the ONLY reason for me would be schools because I LOVE the city and somewhat loath the suburbs) I'm running for HSA president, and already in the leadership of a grass roots group of parents at Cook going whole hog on political action and "what to do when the stuff hits the fan" planning. One thing I really want to do is connect with the HSAs (and/or committed parents in or out of the HSA) at the other area schools from Mt Airy through Andora to share ideas and keep each other motivated and such. There is power in numbers, and that stretch of land really is our "larger community". I've never posted on a board before, so I'm not sure if this is private to you, or if it will post for others to see, so I won't give you my phone number in this note. But write me back (i'm a columnist on the Roxborough patch) if you want to connect, or facebook me. KEEP ON KEEPIN ON!! Carol
