Youngblood Offering Free Flu Shots

If you haven't gotten a flu shot yet, Jan 18 might be your time.

State Rep. Rosita C. Youngblood, is providing free flu shots from her office on  Friday, Jan. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.   Youngblood said that with the Pennsylvania Department of Health characterizing this year’s flu as "widespread" – the agency’s highest tracking category – everyone should avail themselves of the opportunity to get a flu shot.   "We are at the stage where flu season peaks," Youngblood said. "In the current flu cycle, nearly 1,000 people have been hospitalized and 22 have died. Don’t be one of those statistics."   Light refreshments will also be provided during the free flu shot event, which will take place at Youngblood’s new constituent service office at 310 W. Youngblood Starts 10th Term

One of the Northwest's House of Representatives members started her 10th term Tuesday.

The Democratic chairwoman of the state House Gaming Oversight Committee, Rep. Rosita C. Youngblood, D-Phila., was sworn in to begin her tenth term Tuesday as the House convened for the 2013-14 legislative session.   "I am honored to once again represent the citizens of the 198th Legislative District," Youngblood said. "The last two years have been a battle in the state House, no doubt, and I expect the same this session.
