Monday trash delayed due to holiday.
Veterans Day is a holiday that often leaves residents confused as to what's open or closed, and what township services are impacted. Trash pickup, for instance, can make Philadelphia citizens scratch their heads. However, according to the Philadelphia Streets Department, it's not so complicated. For the Nov. 12 Veterans Day holiday, trash and recycling will not be collected Monday. However, no one gets left in the cold. The collection day is pushed back. So Monday goes Tuesday; Tuesday on Wednesday, and so on. Visit the Streets Department's Facebook page for updates.
