Hot Topics at WMAN Meeting: New Assessments, AVI Issues

City officials came to the gathering to discuss the potential new city initiatives.

"Our assessment system is kind of broken," city Finance Director Rob Dubow told a larger-than-usual crowd at a West Mt. Airy Neighbors meeting at Allens Lane Art Center Tuesday. With that statement, Dubow, along with three other city officials that came to the organization's annual meeting (at which it elects new board members and officers), kicked off a spirited discussion. The officials came to the gathering at the behest of WMAN, which generally tries to secure a keynote speaker for its annual gathering in June. The East Mt.
