Krishna Temple VP Reacts to String of Break-ins

There have been three since March.

A vice president at the Radha-Krishna Temple on West Allens Lane described a recent string of thefts at the facility as "pretty frustrating" during an interview Thursday. Saudamani Deadwiler said the thefts haven't necessarily been particularly major. $100 was taken from a lockbox inside Sunday, and the temple was also broken into a week before then, although nothing was taken that time. About $60 was taken from a donation box there in March. But Deadwiler said much of the trouble associated with the crimes stems from the fact that fixes need to be made after break-ins. "They break down doors and break the box, and there's a lot of repairs," she said. "It takes a lot of repair everything." She said there was a rash of burglaries about 15 …

Krishna Temple Targeted Once Again in Theft

This is the third theft there in just over a month.

Another week, another robbery at the Radha-Krishna Temple on West Allens Lane. The temple was recently hit for the second time in a week when a lockbox was broken into and $100 was stolen from there sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. A window on the site was discovered to have been pried open, according to police. Police said two fingerprints were lifted from the scene. A person had kicked in a door at the temple April 22, but nothing was taken then and no one gained access to the building, which is open to the public. Police said $60 from its donation box, as well as a vase, were taken from inside in March by a thief. Radha-Krishna Temple Targeted Again By Criminals

A door was kicked in but nothing was taken.

The Radha-Krishna Temple on West Allens Lane was recently targeted by criminals for the second time in a little over month. Police said a person kicked in a door at the temple Sunday but said nothing was taken. No one gained access to the temple. The society's temple at 41 W. Allens Lane is open to the public. Police said $60 from its donation box, as well as a vase, were taken from inside in March by a thief.

Theft at Publicly Open Radha-Krishna Temple

A vase and $60 were taken.

A couple of items were stolen from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness on Friday. The society's temple at 41 W. Allens Lane is open to the public. Police said $60 from its donation box, as well as a vase, were taken from inside on Friday. It's not the first time recently there's been a theft from a place of worship recently. Various valuables were also stolen from Holy Cross Church recently. It's unclear what motivated the theft, according to police.
