Kadillac Tattoo opened its doors in Mt. Airy on Saturday, Feb 2. Here are five things to know about the new business. 1) It Isn't a Fly-by-Night Operation: Eric Perfect, the shop's owner and one of its tattoo artists, has been tattooing since 1990. Perfect opened his first parlor in Roxborough in the late 90s before moving it to Northeast Philadelphia. "I have 23 years experience tattooing, " he said. "[We've got] another guy with 13 years experience. There's a lot of knowledge and respect for the craft of tattooing here." 2) Minors Need Not Apply: By law, a 16-year-old in Philadelphia can come into a tattoo parlor and get ink with parental consent. Kadillac Tattoo opens in Mt. Airy in early February.

Kadillac Tattoo, which was approved by both neighborhood and city zoning councils in 2012, is planning its grand opening on Germantown Avenue for Feb 2.
