You want to capture those lights on your camera, but getting those lights to look right in your pictures can be more of a challenge than you bargained for. Black Friday Guide: Store Hours

To take advantage of the Black Friday deals, you want to make sure you get in the door, while the sale items are still on the shelves, so when do doors open?

Stores across the Philadelphia area are opening early, even as early as Thursday night to start their Black Friday deals. Here are the adjusted hours Patch found: Kohl’s opens at midnight. Christmas Tree Recycling Coming Jan. 8

The event is intended to keep the trees out of landfills.

Hopefully you still have your Christmas tree. If you do, there's a pretty easy way for you to get rid of it in a little over a week. A variety of participating organizations are working together to organize "Christmas Tree-Cycling" in East Mt. Airy from 1 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 8. People can bring their trees to Gabbie's Community Garden at the corner of Chew Avenue and East Mt. Airy Avenue to drop off their trees, which will then be woodchipped. Organizers are requesting a $5 donation.  The event is largely being put together by East Mt. Airy Neighbors, though the participating organizations include Green in Chestnut Hill, Lower Moyamensing Civic Assocation, Friends of Eastern State Penitentiary Park and Northern Liberties Neighborhood …
