The Chestnut Hill Business Association will have a booth at the Philly Flower Show next week for the first time ever.
Starting next week, Chestnut Hill will have a presence at the Philadelphia Flower Show, and the Chestnut Hill Business Association thinks that’s—well—brilliant. “Brilliant is the theme of the show,” said Chestnut Hill Business Improvement District Retail Recruiter Laurie Wightman. She added that its focus will be on British garden and landscape designs. “We developed a partnership with the Philadelphia Horticultural Society,” said Peggy Miller of the business association. “We’re going to have a booth that is a basic depiction of what it’s like to come to Chestnut Hill.” The business association will use the flower show as a recruitment tool—a way to attract new customers to the area. “Everyday we’ll do a gift basket giveaway,” Miller …

Play starts at 9:30 a.m. at Chestnut Hill College
The third annual Philadelphia Brotherly Love Quidditch Cup Tournament kicks off today at 9:30 a.m. at Chestnut Hill College. To get amped for the wizardly sport, the college has released this somewhat intense pump-up video. Check it out and get excited for broomsticks.

The third-annual Philadelphia Brotherly Love Cup Quidditch Tournament is coming to Chestnut Hill College this weekend, which means that, once again,Chestnut Hill is going all out with wizardry. The quidditch match happens Saturday, but there's a lot more to the weekend than broomstick games. The third annual Harry Potter Weekend is returning to the Hill.
There will be wizardry and wonder in the air October 26 and 27 as Chestnut Hill once again transforms itself into Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley for Harry Potter Weekend and Chestnut Hill College hosts the thrid annual Philadelphia Brotherly Love Quidditch Cup Tournament. Throughout the Chestnut Hill neighborhood, a weekend of events and festivities will celebrate the Harry Potter series of books. The event kicks off October 26 at 6 p.m. at the Top of the Hill Fountain Plaza with a parade of Quidditch teams. Later that evening, adults are invited to join Harry Potter pub crawl and scavenger hunt. Little wizards can enjoy the Diagon Alley Straw Maze at Woodmere Art Museum, jump on their broomsticks and fly to the Chestnut Hill Hotel at 7 p.m…
