Malt Ball IV: The Big Dance Is Back

The Mt. Airy Learning Tree will hold its fourth annual fundraising dance on April 13.

The following is a press release from the Mt. Airy Learning Tree. It’s so much fun that it is back for a 4th time. The MALT Ball, the Northwest’s wide open Line Dance extravaganza, breaks out at 7:00 on Saturday night, April 13, at the Commodore Barry Club, 6815 Emlen Street. Christened MALT Ball IV, this dance is a wildly popular fund-raiser for the Mt. Airy Learning Tree, the non-profit community education organization headquartered in West Mt. Airy.  Organized by Mr. Nick Roby, the Mt. Germantown Meetinghouse Hosting Jazz Vocalist

The Germantown Mennonite Meetinghouse will host jazz vocalist Paula Johns as part of a fundraiser.

The following is a press release from the Germantown Mennonite Meetinghouse. Accomplished jazz vocalist Paula Johns, “La Chanteuse de Jazz,” will present an intimate evening of jazz standards from the Great American Songbook on Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the historic 1770 Germantown Mennonite Meetinghouse, located at 6119 Germantown Avenue. Snack sales and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the historic site. Ms. Johns is an accomplished cabaret singer and jazz vocalist who hails from our own great city, Philadelphia. She is often compared to Ella Fitzgerald and some of the great contemporaries of that era, but Paula brings her own distinctive panache to each song she sings.  She enjoys a great lyric that tugs at your …
