'Love Your Park' Hits the Northwest

A city-wide celebration of parks is coming to the Chestnut Hill - Mt. Airy area.

Lovers of the urban outdoors, rejoice. A number of Roxborough and Manayunk-area parks will be part of Love Your Park, a city-wide celebration of the city's parks and public spaces. The week-long celebration, which kicks off on May 11, will feature "service projects, fun events, educational programs, family activities, tours and more at over 100 parks throughout Philadelphia," according to its website. Name: Greg Welsh Co-Owner of: Chestnut Grill & Sidewalk Cafe. Renovations Still Underway at Chestnut Hill Farmers Market

The projected status of the farmers market is still under construction.

In case you missed it, the Chestnut Hill Farmers Market is still undergoing renovations to become a more sleek and modern market. According to Morrissey Design's website—the design firm for the project—the project is still "under construction," but a previous projected completion date has been for sometime Spring 2013. Froyo Shop To Host First Annual Mini Film Festival

Deadline for Chill On The Hill Frozen Yogurt shop's mini film festival is May 18.

How would you feel about having $100 worth of frozen yogurt? See if you got what it takes to win a $100 gift card from Chill On The Hill. The frozen yogurt shop is hosting its first ever Chill Mini Film Festival. Interested parties can enter the contest by recording a one minute video involving Chill frozen yogurt. Alleyway Closed by Chestnut Hill Grill and Post Office

The large sidewalk area between the post office and Chestnut Hill Grill is closed due to construction.

The alleyway between Chestnut Hill Grill and the post office is currently under construction and closed to traffic. The large area was used for outdoor seating for the Chestnut Hill Grill. Entrance to the post office and Kings Garden may be entered through the Chestnut Hill Hotel lobby entrance.
