Help ID Citizens Bank Robber

The robber is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The FBI and Philadelphia Police Department are asking for help to identify the man in these pictures they say robbed the Citizens Bank at 6324 Stenton Ave. and another bank in North Philadelphia this weekend. The man entered the bank around 2:13 p.m. and handed a not to a teller demanding money police said. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, apparently on foot, according to police. Here’s the police description of the robber: Police believe the man who robbed the Citizens Bank also tried to rob a PNC Bank at 3244 North Broad Street in North Philadelphia on Saturday. 'Serial Bank Robber' Information Wanted, FBI Says

The man is thought to be involved in four bank robberies in February.

The FBI is looking for information about the identity of a “serial bank robber” involved in an attempted bank robbery on Ridge Avenue Thursday morning. The FBI released the following information: The FBI and our law enforcement partners are seeking information leading to the identification of a serial bank robbery suspect believed to be connected to at least four incidents over the past two weeks. On February 14, the Sovereign Bank branch located at 1 Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania was robbed. The subject responsible is believed to have attempted to rob the TD Bank branch at 5501 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia less than half an hour earlier. Undisclosed Cash Stolen in Bank Robbery

The FBI is looking for help finding a man though to be connected to a Northwest bank robbery Thursday.

The FBI has released the following statement and photos in connection to Thursday's bank robbery of the Citizen's Bank at the corner of Stenton Avenue and Washington Lane. From the FBI: At approximately 2:30 p.m., the subject entered the bank, and handed a teller a note demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area. The subject is described as a male in his 30s, 6’2” tall, thick build, with a short beard. He wore a tan jacket, blue jeans, and a tan winter hat with colored stripes on the trim. Sovereign Bank Robbed Again

According to reports the robbery occurred Monday at about 11:15 a.m.

Newsworks reports that Sovereign Bank, 8623 Germantown Avenue, was robbed Monday morning. According to the report, a man used a demand note to rob the bank, and escaped with about $4,000 in cash. "Officer Anthony Buchanico described the perpetrator as a male dressed in full Muslim garb, wearing a long maroon gown and covered face," the Newsworks article stated. Over $3,000 Stolen in Citizens Bank Heist (Updated)

Updated: Tuesday, 10:45 a.m. Over $3,000 was stolen in a robbery at Citizens Bank on Stenton Avenue last week, according to police. Police said just over $3,000 was stolen. The robbery is still under investigation. Police said a man approached the counter at the branch at 6324 Stenton Ave. at about 2:43 p.m. Wednesday and presented a teller with a threatening note demanding money. Once he took the cash from the bank, police said, he fled east toward Ogontz Avenue. The FBI described the man as being in his late 20's or early 30's, 5'9" to 5'11" tall, with a dark complexion, a stocky build and a scruffy mustache and goatee, wearing a white V-neck T-shirt and a baseball cap.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Philadelphia Police …

Officials said a man approached the counter at about 2:43 p.m. and presented a teller with a threatening note demanding money. Once he took the unspecified amount of cash from the location at 6324 Stenton Ave., police said, he fled east toward Ogontz Avenue. The FBI described the man as being in his late 20's or early 30's, 5'9" to 5'11" tall, with a dark complexion, a stocky build and a scruffy mustache and goatee, wearing a white V-neck T-shirt and a baseball cap.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000.

Man Robs Citizens Bank on Stenton Avenue

Police said he made off with an unspecified amount of cash.

A man robbed a Citizens Bank at the corner of Stenton Avenue and East Washington Lane Wednesday afternoon, according to police. Police said the man presented a note to the teller at the bank at 6324 Stenton Ave. at about 2:50 p.m. demanding money. Once he was given the money—the amount of which police said was unspecified—he fled westbound toward Ogontz Avenue. The bank is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The man, according to police, was about 5'7" and had a scruffy beard. Police said he was wearing a light green hat, was wearing a white T-shirt and was carrying a red bandana. News Next Door: Man Robs Wyndmoor Bank

Police say the robbery occurred noontime Monday.

A Sovereign Bank in Wyndmoor was robbed just after noon on Monday, and a suspect is still at large. Springfield Township police told Patch that a light-skinned black male entered the bank, located at 800 East Willow Grove Avenue, a few blocks outside of Chestnut Hill, and handed the teller a note just after 12 p.m. The male did not produce a weapon, but held his hand in his clothing in a threatening manner, police said. FBI: Another Chestnut Hill Bank Robbery

The Sovereign Bank at 8310 Stenton Avenue was robbed Tuesday.

For the third time in as many weeks, a Chestnut Hill Bank was robbed. This time, the location was the Sovereign Bank at 8310 Stenton Ave. According to the FBI, two men walked into the bank at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday, covering their faces and bodies with "black, Muslim-like clothing," a press release stated. The men presented a threatening note to the teller at the bank, received an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled on foot. The FBI release described the men both as having thin builds and being approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall. The FBI has released photographs from the banks surveillence. Agreed - it seems like we're sitting ducks in Chestnut Hill with the lack of police protection - guys in burquas robbing banks?! Come on! All this too while Germantown Ave is starting to turn around with new store and restaurants (unless you want to open a Rita's...). PPD, please wake up and put some officers in our neighborhood before we lose all the progress we've made!   more ›
