New trustees for the board will also be elected on Thursday. Man Falls Victim to Drive-By BB Gun Shooting

A man is shot with a BB gun while walking on Stenton Ave.

A man told police that he was shot with a BB gun while walking in the 6900 block of Stenton Avenue on May 11. At around 8 p.m., a man was walking home when a red sedan pulled along side him and fired a BB gun at him, police said. The car then sped off.

Former Community Association Director Passes Away

A former director of the Chestnut Hill Community Association passes away.

William Williams Keen Butcher, of Chestnut Hill, 97 He was a member of the Committee of 70 for 60 years...Director of the Chestnut Hill Community Association...He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Madeleine Kilvert Butcher. He is survived by 8 children: Garrett Dunn Pagon, Madeleine Pagon Brownell, Somers Keen Butcher, Noel Butcher Hanley, Marshall Watters Pagon, Nicholas Abbott Pagon, Alexandra Kilvert French, and Williams Keen Butcher. 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Woman's House Burglarized While on Vacation, Police Say

Three men leave in a U-Haul truck after burglarizing a home.

A woman returned to her home after a few days away on the 400 block of East Pleasant Street on May 7, to discover her home had been burglarized. Burglars entered the home after they forced open a dining room window, police said. A witness told police that three men left the scene in a U-Haul moving truck. Police value the stolen items at more than $1,700, and they include a laptop, 50-inch television and a 32-inch television.
