This unique Trolley Car Diner has expanded its building outward to create a great take on the 1950s diner experience. It's menu offers so much more than typical burgers and club sandwiches. All ingredients are locally sourced to add to the flavor of the unique and more upscale style food they serve. Trolley Car Diner now serves alcohol as well.

Spectacularly mediocre, and the purveyors of the hands-down grossest hollandaise I've ever encountered. They do have a decent omelet ingredient list, and the takeout beer selection is not too shabby, but the food is mostly your standard truckstop fare. Also, in response to another reviewer, there are at least three dramatically better burgers within half a mile on either side of the Trolley Car, just on Germantown alone.

They can put together a decent omelet with a wide selection of fillings (though eggs and cheese is kinda hard to mess up), and they do have a solid take-out beer selection, but most of the food is pretty sub par, and the default coffee is awful. They also have the distinction of the by-a-mile worst hollandaise I have even encountered - avoid the Eggs Benedict at all costs.

Trolley Car serves the best black angus burger you'll find anywhere. They serve an amazing breakfast menu all day long, including scrapple. Wonderful multigrain bread that is worth taking home with you, and a tremendous club sandwich. Add in a great craft beer selection and friendly service, and you have a marvelous, casual neighborhood resource. You'll always see people you know.
