The Lutheran Theological Seminary works to educate future public leaders on its campus, situated off Germantown Avenue.
The seminary is one of eight nationwide affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church. It offers various degrees. Students can receive a Master of Divinity, Master of Religion, Master of Sacred Theology, Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
The seminary has a variety of special institutes—such as the Urban Theological Institute and the Faith and Life Institute—that extend beyond classes offered for credit. A number of different organizations use the seminary's 14-acre campus for retreats and other activities.
