Chew House

Chew House, located in the Germantown neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia, is a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The mansion, built by Benjamin Chew in the mid-1700s, protected members of the British army from George Washington's army during the Revolutionary War's Battle of Germantown. Individual, class and group tours are available. Visit its Web site for a schedule of lectures.
