Weird Waste Day Returns to Chestnut Hill

Green in Chestnut Hill helps neighbors recycle old electronics.

Everybody has something ‘weird’ that they wish they knew how to recycle. An old fax machine, a broken television a toaster that no longer toasts. Once again, Green in Chestnut Hill (GRinCH) has come to the rescue, with another “Weird Waste Day”.

Neighbors can bring their retired electronics in for responsible recycling April 21, between 1 and 4 p.m. The location for drop-offs has changed from , and now items can be dropped off at the campus parking lot, 8991 Germantown Ave.

The items will be dismantled and components will be reused or recycled instead of ending up in a landfill. GRinCH suggests a donation of $5 to $20 to offset the cost and benefit other programs by the environmental nonprofit.
