Tree-Cycle With Green in Chestnut Hill

Green in Chestnut Hill is imploring you to "save your beloved Christmas tree from the stinky trash truck."

To help you give your tree a fitting send-off, the nonprofit has organized a Christmas Tree-Cycle event. Your tree will be reincarnated as mulch for the spring.

The event is Jan. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at . GRinCH is also looking for volunteers to help collect the trees. If you are interested in volunteering, you can contact Amy Edelman, co-founder of GRinCH at chefamybeth@hotmail.com.

For those dropping off trees, a $5 donation is requested.
