SEPTA Seeking Food Donations from Passengers

SEPTA teamed with Philabundance in its annual canned food drive.

Area residents who use the Chestnut Hill East and West train lines to get to and from the city will have the chance to add to area food banks through this Friday.

SEPTA and Philabundance are collecting canned foods at over 45 SEPTA stops, including stops in Chestnut Hill through June 24.

According to a release on the transportation company’s website, over 19.6 tons of food were collected in a similar food drive in 2010.
