The shop is hosting an adoption day Friday from 1 - 3 p.m.

Only eight days after opening in Chestnut Hill, is introducing the neighborhood the it's pet project: The Greene Street Animal Rescue.

The rescue is a kill-free animal shelter in Chester County that opened in January. And Friday, from 1 - 3 p.m. the Chestnut Hill consignment shop will be hosting an adoption day, bringing in animals from its Spring City shelter.

During adoption events, proceeds from select items in the store also go to support the shelter. The Friday event will allow visitors to meet Maggie the Bassett Hound, and puppies Gabby and GI Joey (seen in the pictures).
