Oldest, most authentic Oktoberfest

Fun for the whole family   -- Bavarian music,  lots of German beers, home-cooked food, traditional dancing, soccer, Steuban Day parade  

The area’s oldest – the 133rd original Oktoberfest -- kicks off September 23‐25, at the United German Hungarians (UGH) Club in Lower Bucks.

Celebrating its 100 anniversary, UGH has award-winning dance and soccer teams, which will be involved in the celebration.  In addition, each day offers special performaces:

·         Friday night, Sept. 23, features “Rocktoberfest,” featuring party band Big Romeo.

·         Saturday, Sept. 24, join all the major German clubs in the area for the 41st Annual Steuben Parade (www.steubenparade.com/phila). Then come back to the UGH for HeimatkKlaenge orchestra and “Emil Schanta” from 3 to 7 p.m. Also performing the UGH Children's Group and Schuhplattlers. Gates open at 1; food and bar at 2 p.m.

   ·         On Sunday, Sept. 25, HeimatKlaenge  performs from 1 to 5 p.m. and The Joe Weber Orchestra from 5 to 9 p.m. Also performing the UGH Children's Group and Schuhplattlers. Gates open at noon; food and bar at 1 p.m.
