New Vet Joins Mt. Airy Animal Hospital

The hospital will now be able to offer orthopedic surgical care.

Mt. Airy Animal Hospital and Andorra Veterinary Clinic are excited to announce that Dr. Andrea Niggemeier has joined the team of experienced doctors.  This will expand services with new appointments currently available for surgery and routine, wellness and medical patient visits.  Dr. Niggemeier brings with her years of orthopedic surgical experience , a new service for the hospital and clinic. 


Dr. Andrea Niggemeier received her veterinary degree from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, in 1994. She completed a fellowship in transfusion medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, spent a year at an emergency facility and then joined private practice. After practicing at the Old Marple Veterinary Hospital in Springfield, Pennsylvania, for ten years, she began practicing at the Wellington Veterinary Hospital, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania in 2009. While she enjoys all aspects of being a general practitioner, her special interests are orthopedic surgery, physical therapy and sports medicine.She is VetStem certified and is currently a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association.

The Mt Airy Animal Hospital and Andorra Veterinary Clinic happily welcome Dr. Niggemeier and hope that these additional services will exceed the needs and desires of our patients and clients in our community.
