Poetry Slam Comes to Henry School [Photos]

Poetry event comes to C.W. Henry

Philadelphia’s own Youssef Kromah (aka "Seff Al-Afriqi”) and Jamarr Hall visited C.W. Henry and brought an important message steeped in justice, acceptance, and respect to the sixth-, seventh- and eight-grade classes in February.

The assembly was brought to the school as part of the "Voices of Teens: Writers Matter" program coordinated with LaSalle University. The writing program is based on the philosophy that when young people write about themselves and their lives, they get invested in the writing and become more open to learning various writing techniques.
