Lego Robotics at Springside Chestnut Hill

The school's first-ever Lego challenge will take place Saturday.

Legos and robots will come together at Springside Chestnut Hill.

SCH is hosting its first ever Lego League Challenge Saturday at 1:30 p.m. 25 area robotics teams made up of fourth- through eight-grade students will be asked to design, build, and program a Lego NXT robot to perform a series of specific tasks related to the competition theme, which this year is Senior Solutions.

They are also asked to make a presentation on a solution they have designed to a problem faced by senior citizens.

The event kicks off at 1:30 p.m. at the SCH Academy athletic complex on Willow Grove Avenue, with an award ceremony at 4 p.m.

I'm looking forward to seeing the solutions the kids come up with to address problems senior citizens face. Should be interesting!
