Friends of J. S. Jenks Raise $7,500 at Fundraiser

The fundraiser was June 9.

After several months of planning, Friends of J.S. Jenks is not only raising funds for the elementary school's arts and music programs, but they kicked it off with a bang.

The "Let There Be Music" fundraiser June 9, according to The Chestnut Hill Local, raised $7,500 in funds to benefit the Chestnut Hill school:

“It took the work of over 30 parent and community volunteers to make the event happen, along with the support from many businesses and community organizations from Northwest Philadelphia and beyond,” Goldman said. “All startup and event expenses were donated so that the money raised at the event will benefit our students to the fullest.”
