Sister Simone Campbell of "Nuns on the Bus" to Speak at Chestnut Hill College

Sister Simone Campbell, executive director of NETWORK and member of “Nuns on the Bus” will speak at Chestnut Hill College on Thursday, September 27 at 7 p.m. in Gruber Theatre, Logue Library. The lecture is sponsored by the Institute for Forgiveness and Reconciliation, the women’s studies major, and the history program.

Sister Simone returns to the College after an earlier visit this summer on the “Nuns on the Bus” tour to speak on “A Passionate Commitment to “Liberty and Justice for All:” Promoting Civility while Engaging Differences.” She will speak to her understanding of renewing commitment to “liberty and justice for all” in her talk, and suggest ways in which we can promote genuine, informed conversation together across political lines, with a civility that does not ignore the need to confront the issues that divide us. The event is free and open to the public.
