Catch the Aloha Spirit: Lei Making Class

February 25 1-3pm

Grace Asperin, Former Arboretum Intern and current staff member, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society

Indulge your creative side and celebrate this year's Philadelphia Flower Show theme, "Hawaii, Islands of Aloha", one week early! In this fun-filled session, you will experience the spirit of Aloha by crafting your own beautiful fresh floral lei. Leis are a festive and important part of Hawaiian history and culture - they are created and bestowed upon people to convey love, congratulations, and to welcome newcomers. The whole family can join in this unique, learning experience. Grace grew up in Hawaii and has been making leis since she was a young girl.
