Landscape painting with Color and Light

I teach the elements of landscape painting as it relates to oil painting as a whole.  The class is for anyone who has ever been frustrated trying to paint, and wants to enhance their daily lives through creativity.  I explain the concepts of the class on the first day with a lecture and a painting demo, and allow students to ask questions and take notes.  Students need a sketchbook and pencils for the first day.  The class is structured so that students first familiarize themselves with materials and brush response, and then proceed into color through concept and observation.  Classes are small and ongoing, allowing students to progress at their own pace, build confidence as they go, and progress towards a mastery of the oil painting process, including elements such as: color harmonies, perspective, golden section composition, and the artistic anatomy of trees.

We schedule these classes according to students' own availability.
