Field Trips @ Wyck Historic House, Garden and Farm

Teachers, spend a spring day in Historic Germantown with your students!

At the Wyck Historic House, Garden and Farm, students can explore nature, agriculture and history all in one unique house in Germantown.
A highly distinctive resource in Northwest Philadelphia for experiential, standards-based lessons in science and history, this is education from the ground up.
Learn about the past through the toys and dolls of early American Quaker children... through 19th century saws, hammers, and muskets... through traditional cookery and unique kitchen instruments, such as a cherry pitter.  Understand today's world by recycling and composting... by examining the homes of bugs and backyard wildlife... by smelling the roses.

Options for visits include designed lessons, service days, teacher research, "From Farm to Market" (Fridays), garden picnics, and more.
