Chestnut Hill Student Nominated to Armed Forces

Timothy M. Menninger could be headed to the Merchant Marines.

A Chestnut Hill student could be headed to into the armed services.

Congressman Patrick Meehan (PA-07) recently nominated Timothy M. Menninger, a student at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, to the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Menninger was one of 35 students from around the greater Philadelphia area nominated for service.

"It is a great honor to nominate these outstanding students for admission to our nation's service academies," Congressman Meehan said in a release. "Each of these students has demonstrated tremendous potential for achievement and leadership. Our nation is blessed to have so many fine young men and women with the desire to serve, and I have no doubt that they will become great assets to our country's uniformed services."

Yes, thank you Kathy. We have uploaded two current photos to represent both campuses at SCH Academy. We have also contacted the editor and requested that the old photo be taken down. In addition we have also requested that the article be corrected to list the school consistently as Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. The Communications Office at SCH Academy
