Who Gave Money to the Candidates?

A list allows you to search data regarding campaign donations.

If you want to know where the candidates who are running for the 8th District City Council seat are getting their money from, look no further than a campaign finance database that lists the contributions each candidate has received.

You'll find out that  got $10,600 from Mayor Michael Nutter's campaign, Nutter for Mayor. You'll see that  received money from Sherrie Cohen's City Council at-large campaign and that Treatman put $35,000 of his own money into the race on Thursday.

The Friends of LeAnna Washington, a state senator who represents Mt. Airy and other areas, gave  $1,000.  put just over $38,000 into his own campaign in January.  The Electrical Workers Minority Caucus gave —an electrician—$300, Bill Auto Service gave  a total of $600 and  put $1,300 of his own into his campaign.

You can read about that and more by going to the website, which is run by the city's Records Department, and searching the contributions for each candidate.

The  is Tuesday. The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
