West Mt. Airy Neighbors to Look at 2020 at Annual Meeting

The West Mt. Airy Neighbors will host a panel looking into the not-to-distant future at its annual meeting next Tuesday.

The West Mt. Airy Neighbors will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, June 11, but the meeting won’t be so much a look back but a look forward—to 2020.

The civic association will have several local experts on hand to discuss how they envision the neighborhood evolving through the next seven years.

Councilwoman Cindy Bass and State Sen. LeAnna Washington will talk about the role government can take in shaping the area, while Mt. Airy USA Director Anuj Gupta will talk about development and education initiatives.

Larry DiFranco will talk about real estate, and Marilyn Cohen will discuss the best strategies for aging and remaining a vital part of a community.

The West Mount Airy Neighbors will also hold their board of directors elections at Tuesday’s meeting as well.
