Verna Tyner Endorsed for 8th by Current Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller

Miller says other candidates are 'bogged down in idealism.'

Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller has endorsed for the 8th District City Council seat.

Miller, who currently holds the seat (and has had it since 1996), said it was Tyner's 15 years of experience working in City Council that swayed her decision.

"Tyner has a wealth of knowledge in regards to the operation of City Council and city government, and I know she has the necessary experience to represent the 8th Council District," Miller said in a news release. "While so much has been accomplished, there is still a lot to be done. Verna Tyner brings with her the kind of pragmatic leadership that is required to continue this task."

Miller also said other candidates in the race are "bogged down in idealism" and "offer no real solutions."

Tyner has worked for council members David Cohen and is now the chief of staff to Councilman-at-Large Bill Greenlee.
