Today is the Deadline to Register for the PA November Election

You can do so online.

Today is the deadline for registering to vote in Pennsylvania's November 2011 election.

In Chestnut Hill there is a race for the 8th Councilmanic District seat ( is the Democratic nominee; she's running against ). There are also races for mayor, at-large City Council seats, City Commissioner seats, sheriff, register of wills and judicial positions.

If you are a first time voter, new resident, or want to change your party registration, time's running out fast. If you are not registered by today, you will not be permitted to vote in the municipal elections on Nov. 8.

The Pennsylvania Department of State "votesPA" website is a good "one stop shop" for finding the answer to virtually any question you may have about voting in the November election.

It also has information for registering or via mail but there is no time left to register by mail for the November 2011 election. The site also has downloadable forms you can use to register by mail for the 2012 primary and general elections.
