Williams didn't specifically mention the Parker case in a Facebook post addressing the matter. But the post was certainly related in some way to that. In that case, Williams recused himself from trying Parker, as he is friends with the Democrat, who represents Chestnut Hill.

"Regularly scheduled Facebook 'friendship' disclaimer," he wrote. "Your use and viewing of this page does not constitute 'friendship' to bar criminal prosecution in the City and County of Philadelphia by the Office of the District Attorney."
