SEPTA to Consider Disbanding Route 134 Bus

A public hearing will be held March 29.

SEPTA is considering disbanding the Route 134 bus, which originates at the bus loop at Germantown Avenue and Bethlehem Pike.

The route goes up Bethlehem Pike through Flourtown and continues along Norristown Road, McKean Road, Welsh Road, private property of Madlyn & Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life, Horsham Road, Hartman Road, Donorah Drive, Commerce Drive, Enterprise Drive, Stump Road, Horsham Road, private property of Heckler Shopping Center, Garden Golf Boulevard, Knapp Road and DeKalb Pike before reaching its destination at Montgomery Mall in Montgomery Township.

The reason for the discontinuation, according to SEPTA, is that external funding from Montgomery County has been withdrawn.
