Road Work Continues on Germantown Leaving Chestnut Hill

Cobblestones are being replaced.

Construction work near the intersection of Cresheim Valley Road and Germantown Avenue hasn't exactly caused traffic to stop.

But it could be something that has drivers wondering what's going on as they leave Chestnut Hill and enter Mt. Airy.

Essentially, cobblestones are being replaced there. That has caused lots of cones and other construction implements to be placed around the area that's being repaired.

Because of the work, a large section of cobblestone is empty on Germantown Avenue right now, right in front of the .

Another section has already been replaced.

A Newsworks article says the project will likely be finished in June.

The work isn't affecting the Trolley Car's operations like a Germantown Avenue project several years ago did. Traffic isn't really being moved around in this case.
