President Barack Obama will be in town Thursday night for a Democratic fundraising event.

The event will be held at the Mount Airy home of Comcast executive David L. Cohen.

The event, which will benefit the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, aims to raise $1 million, The Huffington Post says.

In addition to Obama, the event will feature Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.), and Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.). Bennet is the head of the DSCC.

Cohen was chief of staff to Ed Rendell when Rendell was mayor of Philadelphia, and The Huffington Post says Cohen and his wife raised more than $500,000 for Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.

So why isn't the address stipulated? Is it because only the Rich and Famous who know Mr. Copen personally invited? This is so unfair to those of us who voted for Obama and wish to donate to the Dems. Sad state of affairs that an event such as this is open only to the 1%ers. So effing unfair. But the DNCC won't hesitate to try and get a buck or two from us when they go the grassroots path...shame on you, Cohen!
