Philly.com: Miller Aide Accused of Inappropriately Using City Resources

Michael Moore was accused of 16 city charter violations.

Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller's communications director was accused of 16 violations of the city charter for using government resources to help with a political campaign, according to a Philly.com report.

Michael Moore allegedly helped , who ran for the Democratic nomination for the 8th District City Council seat this spring, by using city resources—such as stationery—to draft letters endorsing her.

He also allegedly used his city email account to send a letter of endorsement from Miller to Tyner to media outlets. Mt. Airy Patch received a copy of that endorsement from Moore.

by the city Ethics Board, which has leveled the charges against Moore.

The councilwoman didn't run for re-election this year and will soon be out of office after serving four terms as the 8th District's representative.
