Greg Paulmier on Loss: "Thank You to My Supporters"

Paulmier received about 21 percent of the votes for the 8th District Democratic nomination.

After most of the votes had been reported, 's headquarters at 427 W. Coulter Street in Germantown was nearly empty. The straggling supporters were giving the second-place candidate hugs and handshakes as they headed out.

"I want to thank everyone who helped in my campaign, who flew my flags in their yard," Paulmier said.

As for future plans, Paulmier added, "I am optimistic that we can make things happen. I want to continue to work to bring things to the neighborhood that need to be brought, and are a long time coming."
