Election Reactions: Bill Durham

City Council candidate Bill Durham reacts to primary election results.

Inside his office on the 5600 block of Chew Avenue, City Council candidate Bill Durham stood alongside his coworkers Tuesday night refreshing the computer screen in hopes to find updated election results. Durham was disappointed in the voter turnout, but remained optimistic throughout the whole race.

"I think there is a lack of enthusiasm and excitement around the race," Durham said. "I don't think that there was some points that really grabbed peoples' attention."

Durham trailed heavily early on and managed to garner only 1.6 percent of the vote. Despite his loss to Cindy Bass, Durham noted that the primary election benefited the community.
